Decoration technique

TrendColor

TrendColor is a technology for colouring products with water-based paints. It achieves intense colours matched to the Pantone palette on most of the mug models in our range. The paints used in this process are safe for contact with food and drinks. TrendColor is resistant to washing in household dishwashers – a minimum of 500 cycles at 60°C. Actual durability also depends on the type of detergent used. TrendColor is not fully resistant to mechanical damage and scratches. Some colours may retain traces of coffee, grease or lipstick, so we recommend washing mugs as soon as possible after use. If in doubt, we strongly recommend ordering a pre-production sample for testing.

Advantages

  • decoration possible from just 24 pcs
  • very good reproduction and saturation of many Pantone colours
  • the inside and the outside of the mug can both be coloured
  • glossy, matte or metallic finish available
  • dishwasher resistant up to approx. 500 cycles at 60°C

Disadvantages

  • not every colour is reproduced exactly – a 10–15% deviation is normal
  • the technique is not fully resistant to mechanical damage
  • relatively high production cost
  • limited choice of logo decoration techniques (Polylux and Deep Effect)
  • no decoration possible on the base of the product
