For many years, European porcelain has been increasing in price to the point where it is becoming less competitive. In addition, the limited number of factories, lack of flexibility, and extremely long production lead times often discourage cooperation. It appears that even such an extreme measure as high import duties may not be enough to rebuild the position of local porcelain manufacturers. What is truly needed is a reduction in production costs and regulatory burdens in Europe.
In the promotional products industry, factors other than country of origin often play a much more important role. For years we have observed that clients prefer to allocate larger budgets to creative design and advanced decorating techniquesrather than to the origin of the product itself. As a result, the complexity of orders has increased significantly, and we are focused on ensuring that we can deliver such projects regardless of customs duty levels.
At the same time, it is important to remember that diversity of offer and the ability to match smaller budgets remain key advantages of imported products.
